Established under the Older Americans Act in 1973, Aging Ahead, is one of ten Area Agencies on Aging, serving older adults and their caregivers in St Charles, St Louis, Franklin and Jefferson counties. Our mission is to support them through the journey of aging through a variety of programs and services.. We are asking for your input to help us adapt, enhance, and expand our operations to meet the future needs of a growing population.

The Arnold group is a lot of fun! There are two immediate opportunities to improve (1) Lets find somewhere that is large enough for the group to grow. We are not maxed out yet but it is tight especially for those who are eating. ( 2) Let’s look at ways to get the meals sponsored so there is no need for an emphasis on donations at Arnold. This group is on fixed incomes and a suggested donation of any amount might deter new participation. I would be willing to help raise funds for these meals. Social isolation is a problem for everyone because it leads to depression which leads to neglect which leads to health issues among the elderly and we all get to share that cost in the end. Sandwiches are cheaper. How can I help?
