Congratulations, Kathy!
Kathy recently celebrated her 25th anniversary with Aging Ahead and we couldn’t be more grateful! Kathy is a meal delivery driver in Union and she is most happy when she is making others happy and helping them feel cared for. In fact, she stated that included among her favorite things are taking care of people and going out to help. Just talking to them and being with them brings her joy. And it’s clear the feeling among our Union participants feel the same about Kathy!
When a meal recipient had just baked a fresh pie and insisted that Kathy take a moment to sit and have a slice. A friendship was formed, lasting many years. Another example of Kathy’s dedication is evident in the story of her noticing a participant had used his mower to drive out to his garden and subsequently fell off putting his life in jeopardy, Kathy took the time to summon help for him. Her act very likely saved his life.
In addition to working with Aging Ahead, Kathy enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and 2 grandsons. For many years, Kathy and her family delivered Christmas and Thanksgiving meals that were provided by local businesses to those in need. She has fond memories of the times that they were able to help people together. For this and so much more, we congratulate Kathy and thank you for over 25 years of supporting older adults. We’re grateful for you!

Yes, Kathy, WE are grateful for people like you. Many don’t hear that much-grateful, great or even thank you, but you are hearing it now. And to everyone, just that little thank you, a smile, can make someone feel great. Thank you Aging Ahead for recognizing Kathy and her many services.:)
