Looking for a simple way to make a real difference in your community? Aging Ahead in West County is seeking dependable, compassionate volunteers to serve as substitute/on-call Meals on Wheels drivers when a regular volunteer is unavailable.
Just approximately 1.5 hours of your time on a weekday morning (Monday–Friday) can ensure a homebound older adult receives a nutritious meal—and sees a friendly face.
What you’ll do:
- Pick up meals and deliver them along a designated route
- Offer a warm greeting and brief check-in with each recipient
- Help reduce isolation while supporting independence for older adults
