Presentation Description: As adults age, an individual’s executive function starts to change and slow down. People often have trouble analyzing, planning, organizing, scheduling, and completing tasks. Little things such as losing personal items such as keys or phones, or losing your train of thought, or having difficulty following conversations or remembering names of people you just met, become more challenging. Often, seniors find themselves taking longer to complete a task, including learning something new. Or, sometimes difficulty coping with change creeps in, leading others to describe them as “easily frustrated”. Come join us to learn more about executive function, what it is and things you can do to stay engaged!
