Location: Lewis and Clark Library – 9909 Lewis and Clark Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63136
Presentation: We execute self-care on the ground of mindfulness. Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present in the moment – every intention, every breath, every movement, all your attention, sensations, and emotions – noticing thoughts and letting them go with no judgment, which helps you make the most of your self-care practices.
In this class, we will discuss the “who/what/why/when/where/how/how much” of self-care, cover different aspects of self-care (mental/spiritual/physical; mind/body), as well as talk about different approaches of implementing self-care, such as breathing, exercise, nutrition, and sleep.
