We’re excited to share an upcoming Free Caregiver Workshop hosted by our partners at the UofL Trager Institute!
🗓 Monday, March 2, 2026
⏰ 12:00–1:00 PM EST
💻 Virtual via Zoom
This session, “Dignity of Risk,” explores the balance caregivers face between honoring a loved one’s independence and ensuring their safety. Participants will learn practical strategies for assessing risk, supporting autonomy, improving communication, and making thoughtful decisions that promote dignity, safety, and quality of life. The workshop will be led by Sam Cotton, PhD, from the UofL Trager Institute.
✨ Friendly scheduling note: While this workshop typically takes place on the second Monday of each month, Louisville is switching things up for March and will be hosting on the first Monday instead.
And don’t forget — the SLU Caregiver Speaker Series will resume on the second Monday of April (April 13) from 12:00–1:00 PM CST, featuring Dr. Teklehaimanot, who will be discussing Delirium in Older Adults. We hope you’ll join us for both sessions!
